Arrowroot and cornstarch are very similar because they both absorb oil. I personally use arrowroot powder in all my powder based make-up because Arrowroot powder has a finer texture than cornstarch which can create a more lightweight silky finish without a powdery face. Arrowroot is also considered more of a natural product because it comes from the root of the arrowroot plant.
